Our laboratory unites enthusiastic scientists and students to work on parasitic helminths having an impact on human and animal health. We are based at the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Science, Charles University, Prague, Czechia.

We combine modern approaches of experimental parasitology (molecular and biochemical parasitology, immunobiology of parasitic diseases) with the study of parasites in the field (transmission, taxonomy, and diagnostics).

Our aim is to understand the complexity of host-helminth interactions in order to develop better prevention or treatment strategies and to elucidate the effect of helminth infection on other pathologies, such as cancer or autoimmune disorders.
